I have used this product for various foster cats and kittens who have issues with using the litter box (often because they never learned). After first ruling out any potential medical causes for your cat’s troubles, try adding this to *plain unscented* clumping clay litter. There are very few litter brands that are actually unscented - many times I have purchased “unscented” varieties only to open the bag and smell perfume! Dr Elsey’s Precious Cat litter, Premium Choice Unscented, and Better Way unscented are the only ones I have found to be truly unscented.
Scented litter will make your cat avoid the box and also masks the smell of the attractant. When I add this powder to the litter, all my cats come over and want to dig in the box. Digging in the box encourages them to “go” while they are there. It works like a charm!
