I purchase this for my tame rabbit that lives outside in a big partly enclosed avairy under a parrot. I put the warmer in a little hut within the avairy. It keeps the bunny toasty in below freezing temps. The bunny likes to chew and has chewed the cord down to the metal covering in a few places. Thanks to the metal covering the bunny is still alive so that is a good thing. It is also made out of a durable plastic that the rabbit has left alone. The only down side is that my regular brown rabbit is bigger than the one in the photo and bigger than the warmer. I have noticed that the rabbit only uses it when it is really cold. I live in Charlotte North Carolina so the rabbit only uses it in the last of November through mid March and not all the time during those months.
